East Yorkshire: Arnold to Rise

Sunday, 30th March 2014

A fairly uninspiring 4 mile walk.  I think I just wanted to make the most of a dry(ish) day and get out into the countryside and some fresh air into my lungs.

To be fair, I've not done bad for walks this month.

Thanks for looking 😊

East Yorkshire: Millington

Sunday, 16th March 2014

Met up with Claire and Sven from the forum for a very uppy and downy 8 mile walk in the Wolds.

... With a beer stop in the middle and a cake stop at the end...

North Yorkshire Moors: Bridestones (6 miles)

Sunday, 9th March 2014

I parked up at Lockton near the cemetery for a meander round the weird and wonderful windblown rock formations that are known as "the Bridestones".

Once again, I'm adding this some 4 years later so this isn't much of a write up.  There's no ViewRanger track either as this walk was done in the days before I discovered it.

Some pics:

WI Walk - Old Ellerby (4 miles)

Saturday, 8th March 2014

I'm doing well with my Saturday job not clashing with the walking group walk.

Today's walk was another one I've not done before and it was nice to see a new bit of my local area.

East Yorkshire: South Cave Night Walk

Saturday, 8th March 2014

Met up with Nathan from the forum to do this 7 mile walk at night.  I was curious to see how navigating a walk at night differs from doing it during the day.

It's a lot different!  Very easy to miss turn-offs.

Lots of night-time critters making squeaks and snuffles in the undergrowth too!

Needless to say, there's not really many pictures!

Peak District: DERBYSHIRE - Burbage Bridge to Pilsley (9 miles)

Tuesday, 4th March 2014

A forum meet from the (now defunct) forum.  This was a linear walk from Burbage Bridge Car Park, over Higger Tor and Carl Wark, down through Padley Gorge and across the fields to Pilsley. ... With a couple of café and cake stops on the way!:
