Enjoyable local walk in the sunshine.

WI Walk - Preston to Hedon (4 miles)

Saturday, 25th April 2015

A nice Spring walk in the sunshine.

I walked up the main road to the Hall to meet up with the group and then walked home over the fields with them.  They returned to the Hall along the main road.

Lovely spring blooms in the gardens

Hidden high up on the wall

Heading through a lovely, leafy "garden"

Over Staithes Road and into the fields

Pub?  Excellent!

This path is awful as soon as it rains - muddy is an under statement
but today, it's baked hard

Hull: River Hull and Oak Road Playing Fields (2 miles)

Monday, 13th April 2015

Did a walk this lunchtime with Debs from work.  Considering it's a built-up, industrial area, the walk along the riverbank was really quite peaceful.

Heading North from Ferry Bridge

Not the most scenic place to moor a barge!

COUNTY BAGGING: North Yorkshire - Ingleborough (11 miles)

Saturday, 4th April 2015

This was an Easter Bank Holiday weekend walk arranged by Peter.

The walk took in the delights of Moughton Scars, Norber Erratics, Gaping Gill, Trow Gill and, of course, Ingleborough.

An absolutely shatteringly cracking day out and a walk I'd like to do again one day and spend a little more time poking around on the tabletop flat summit of Ingleborough.

Some pics:

Robin Procter Scar (I think)

Spot the climbers!

One of the "erratics"
(a large boulder balanced on smaller boulders - how did it get there?)
