WI Walk: Burton Pidsea (4.3 miles)

Saturday, 29th November 2014

A very muddy 4.3 mile walk around Burton Pidsea, led by Mo. Plus, the mandatory tea and scone stop at the end in the newly refurbished Nancy Pub and Tea Rooms.

It was good to get out in the fresh air.

Heading along the infamous Mucky Lane (track)

Lovely parkland near the Church

The Church in the mist
Thanks for looking 😊

East Yorkshire: Keyingham (4 miles)

Sunday, 16th November 2014

Feeling a bit nostalgic, I revisited my childhood village of Keyingham for a trip down memory lane.  Things have changed a bit.

Looking along the old farm road

This used to be a crop field

The remains of the field behind the playing field
(still plenty big enough!)

Bit miffed about this
I used to play in the woodland that WAS here

Down the old railway track

Keyingham Drain

Crossing the drain to a reasonably muddy field

WI Walk: Kelsey Gardens

Saturday, 1st November 2014

We've not done this walk since the beginning of the year so we had a re-visit.  I think we did it as a circular route rather than an out, round the lakes, and back route.

Nice easy start to the walk

Picking a path through the woodland

Random white shrub

Aye, we came in the back way this time

It's not clear in this pic but
there's a Halloween skeleton sat in the truck!

Easy path along the South Lake

Swans

South Lake from a sneaky viewpoint

Heading to the butty shack

Toy boats on South Lake

The owners are making a go of it

Final view from the disused railway
Thanks for looking 😊
