North Yorkshire: Cloughton to Hayburn Wyke (2.75 miles)

Sunday, 8th May 2016

I felt as if I "should" get out for a walk today.  I wasn't really in the mood to be honest and should have saved my petrol and done a local walk instead.  I'm a bit bored of the Hedon, Keyingham, Paull local walks though and thought getting a bit further afield might help.... apparently not.

Don't get me wrong, it was a nice enough walk and I enjoyed it but I was glad to get back to my car and get home.  If/when I do it again, I'll probably enjoy it.  Like I say, I just wasn't really in the mood today.

Looking towards Scarborough

Lovely cobbled path down

That's a bit more of the Cleveland Way "bagged" then

I like this pic

Signpost OCD

Good cobbled paths down the steep bits again

A final look back towards Scarborough from a bit higher up

The final drop down to the shore at Hayburn Wyke is a bit ... well... it needs more enthusiasm than I had today.  Apparently there's a "secret" waterfall down there.  I will go back and revisit one day.

I'm glad I got out and made the most of a nice day, but I was glad to get back home too!  Funny how some days get you like that I think.

Thanks for looking 😊
