Yorkshire Dales: Walking Weekend - Hubberholme and Gaping Gill

Sunday, 4th and Monday 5th January 2015

Day 1 - Hubberholme and Cray (3.5 miles)

A lovely little leg stretch walk in the crisp, frosty, sunshine. Not a challenging walk but my legs still ached a bit after it. Not bad since I've not done any hills at all for a couple of months :)

Looking across to Buckden Pike - one day I'll get up there

Lovely babbling brook

Frosty trees

Day 2 - Trow Gill, Gaping Gill, Norber Erratics, Robin Procters Scar (7.5 miles)

What a difference a day makes! Today's walk was in the murk and mizzle and caused us to change our plans of the trip up to the Lakes. A fab magical mystery tour taking in secret tunnels, Trow Gill, Gaping Gill, the Norber Erratics and Robin Procter's Scar. Peter was leading and I followed. Shame about the lack of views but a great little adventure for me :)

Giant thank you's to Peter who arranged my accommodation. A fiver a night - you can't go wrong at that :) And he paid for it, in lieu of petrol money for me taxi-ing him around due to his car being out of action.

Thanks for looking 😊
