North Yorkshire Moors: Littlebeck, Falling Foss and The Hermitage (6 miles)

Sunday, 2nd February 2014

What an adventure! Yet again, I set off later than I should have and ended up actually in the dark this time. A massive thank you to the occupiers of Midge Hall at Falling Foss for pointing me in the right direction of the road and then going above and beyond by asking their workman to wait at the car park at the top and give me a lift back to my car. Massive thank you to you both :) Apart from that, what a lovely walk. A very wet and boggy walk but the weather was great and it was a really varied and interesting walk and one I'd like to do again someday (preferably when the cafe is open!) :)

Some pictures:
Muddy start to the walk

Views across the pastureland

Looking to the coast at Whitby

Crossing a little stream

Last view of the coast before heading down, down, down...

... down here into Littlebeck

Ford measuring thingy!

Well ain't that just typical!

Don't you just love it when the boardwalk runs out!

Thanks for looking 😊
