Scotland: A Week in the Highlands

A Week's Holiday in Glen Nevis - from 3rd September 2016

My first ever visit to Scotland.  I now understand why people mention midges so much - evil little buggas - they loved me!

Sadly, it rained more than it didn't.  In England it would have been classed as a severe weather warning!  There were some spectacular waterfalls coming down off the hills though.

On one of the days I met up with Bill (who lives in Glencoe - lucky bugga) and we did the Pap of Glencoe... in the pouring rain.

All in all, a great week.  I'd like to visit again one day and have decent enough weather to do Ben Nevis!

Here's a few pictures from my holiday.

Bye bye England
And so the midge bites begin!

I forget the name of this hill but it's not Ben Nevis
and that white cap isn't snow!

A really lovely, short walk
The week after I came home there was a massive landslide here!
